Using Sonos with Wifi Extender

Hi There,

I'm after some help and advice. I bought a netgear universal wifi extender as i was having problems connecting to the sonos 3 in my kitchen (theres a 2 foot stone wall between it and the router), sometimes the iPhone couldn't detect the components and then every now and the the music would abruptly stop playing after losing the connection. Adding the wifi extender into the mix has confused things even more, the iPhone/iPad controller isn't picking up components despite them being turned and connected to the wifi network and music will stop playing abruptly.

Is this an issue with the wifi channels i'm using or is it more complicated than that?
