The Android app is sending data over 3G wireless and over WiFi even when not using the Sonos system.
After 2 weeks installed on my phone, Android shows the Sonos app used ~20MB of 3G data, and ~31MB of WiFi data, even though I only used the app twice. (Yes, I do mean 3G, not WiFi data. Android lists separate data usage)
Uninstalled and re-installed app.
Only 6 hours after installation, over 500KB of data were sent over 3G!!! (I can't attach screen shot in this forum)
Why? What data is being sent? What is Sonos app tracking without my knowledge? And why over 3G wireless?
Anyone else observe this issue? You can check Android data use: Settings/Data Usage/(scroll to individual app in list and observe Mobile[3G] and WiFi data usage)
