Podcasts Not Marked As Played

I use the (most recent) iPhone podcast app to subscribe to podcasts. It can be configured to automatically delete those podcasts that have been played.

I often play these podcasts using the relatively new "This iPhone" support in the Sonos app. However the Sonos app does not seem to mark podcasts as played, which is very inconvenient, as I have to then manually delete them over in the iPhone app.

Has anyone else encountered this / is this a known bug? Thanks.
