Sonos Hooked up to Onkyo Receiver sounds bad

I have my sonos connect hooked up to an older Onkyo Receiver (TX-Sr602). No matter what type of audio channel that I select it doesn't sound very good. Either sounds distorted or all you hear is treble.

Any suggestions?
