Looking to set up a Sonos System

Hi there i am brand new to the forums as i am looking to purchase a Sonos home music system. To start with i am looking to buy a Play 5 plus bridge & build it up from there but as i am a total newbie i just need to check a few things!

My System:-
Imac/Ipad2/Iphone5
Spotify Premium
Orange BrightBox Router

As a Spotify premium member you can guess that i am a big music fan & love listening to music. I also like listening to radio (mainly BBC Radio 1&2 & Talk Sport) so as well as streaming my Spotify account I am also looking to stream my favourite radio stations to the sonos speakers so i can get rid of my DAB radio.


I see lots of posts saying they are using Airport Express/Extreme & nas with there sonos speakers so do i need to purchase an Airport Express or Extreme & plug it into the Play 5 to stream the music/radio or would an Airport Express/Extreme improve this? My Internet speed is very very slow as i live in a remote area & have never used an Express or Extreme before so maybe this would improve my internet speed? Or will a sonos bridge into my broadband router be fine?

Any advice for a newbie before i purchase would be fantastic so i know i am setting it all up correctly!
