New Home build

I am new to these forums and I appologize if I am not in the right place. I am currently having my house built and after spending tons of money on the house itself I find that I am starting to run short on funds and wont be able to initally have a pro do all the Audio and Video install. So I would like toake a shot at doing it myself

For Audio throughout.
When I move in there will be 6 rooms with speakers (stereo) that will have cable run to the Electrical control room
2 more rooms that will have surround sound also run to the same room
I have 1 Amp Pioneer Elite VSX-81TXV Receiver

I was considering installing Dayton Audio MA1240a Multi-Zone 12 Channel Amplifier and a SONOS - CONNECT Wireless.

Does this make sense for whole home audio? Will this allow me to listen to maybe 2 or three diffent things in different zones?
Thoughts? input?
