NAS drive via ethernet on Sonos?

Hi,

My current setup is the following: Sonos Connect <->(wireless) Sonos Bridge <->(wired) Router <-> (wired) Computer (with music files).

Suppose I put my music on a NAS drive that I attach via the Ethernet-port on the Sonos Connect. Will this avoid the use of wireless for music file transmission?

Will the networking layer be smart enough to route the traffic between the Sonos Connect and NAS drive directly (without using wireless)? Or, will it end up sending the traffic to the Sonos Bridge & router and back again, which will end up being worse as it will involve two wireless hops?

I am trying to simplify my setup to be as robust as possible to wireless interference (from neighbours’ routers, cordless phones etc.) and so would like to avoid wireless to the extent possible. (I assume that the wireless requirements for the Controller itself will be minimal and not an issue, as long as the music files themselves don’t use wireless, it seems better.)
