My wife still wants to play CDs (don't ask why - they are all on a NAS) and as the CD player seems to have died I connected our Sony BDP-S360 blu-ray player to a ZP80 with an RCA cable. The speakers are connected to a ZP100
The problem is the sound is at a fixed loud volume and is not controlable with (a) the Sony remote or (b) a Sonos CR100 controller. On the CR100 the volume indicator can be reduced to zero and the mute button will show that sound is muted but the sound continues at the same loud party level.
I have checked that the output level is Variable and have tried all possible combinations of ZP settings.
Any ideas on how to tame the sound?
