I've seen plenty of posts about how Sonos should directly support YouTube from many people. I've read some of the hacks with Linein and running a computer and software.
All sounds a bit messy for the average punter who likes to keep it clean.
So I think i've got a solution allowing you to link up a specified YouTube user playlist to your Sonos device to play.
However before doing any further implementing I wanted to get some feedback on what Sonos users would be preferring/expecting.
Software to run on the home network.
-OR-
"Cloud" based hosted service on the Internet.
For a hosted service there's obviously associated costs to keep offering the service, so would you prefer:
Paying a monthly fee
-OR-
Having audio adverts injected between playlist entries every so often.
The system i've got in mind would also work for other non Sonos setups such as my Denon AMP etc.
Any thoughts and feedback welcomed!
