Streaming and using an Android remote

My first post here. :)

I'm looking at setting up some Sonos components around my home but I'm a bit confused around a specific part of it due to some conflicting info from elsewhere.

My current setup is that I have a desktop computer sitting in a cupboard, wired to the router, and on this computer sits all of my music. I'm planning to have the Sonos bridge sitting in here as well so it's wired to the router.

If I set up Sonos speakers in each room and use the Android app, will this allow me to stream it directly from the desktop PC to the various speakers?

The reason I ask this is because a previous answer I received suggested that in this situation it will stream via my Android device (i.e. desktop PC -> Android -> speakers)
