Hello,
So I am really over thinking this whole thing. Have a question about getting a better understanding on a 5.1 setup.
Currently I have a PLAYBAR and a SUB. I planned on purchasing 2 PLAY:1's. Right now I have a Samsung UN65ES8000 TV and a BYTECC OP-SW401 Optical 4 port switch. Over the weekend I tried to play 3 or 4 different movies off of my home theatre pc and received no sound. I realized when loooking at the info on the file the Audio was DTS 5.1. My issue with this though is that I have previously watched these files with no issues in the past with the PLAYBAR, but now I added in the SUB and they do not play. By adding the SUB did this screw up the ability to play these files without investing in 2 PLAY:1's? I just can't comprehend how the audio played fine like 2 months ago but now they do not.
I am aware SONOS does not support DTS. But I was thinking that somehow the optical switch and the PLAYBAR played nice together and now that I added another component to the mix I am wondering if that screwed it up for me.
Thanks for any help / insight in to this.
