Several Problems with Play:5 System

Hi

I have a stable and good working Thomson Modem with integrated WLAN Router. I don’t experience any WLAN problems. I use it every day with several devices. DHCP is enabled. It’s all very stable. The SONOS Problems I have do also occur with other WLAN Routers (I have tested it).

Three days ago, I have bought a new SONOS Bridge and a new SONOS Play:5. The Bridge and the Play:5 components seem to connect well (every time I restart one of them, the white LED blinks for a few seconds and then stays white).

My wife has the SONOS Controller App on her iPhone 4 (iOS 6). I have the SONOS Controller App on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (Android 4.1.1). We both experience similar problems.

We have tried the following multiple times (each of them more than 10 times). The problem remains.
- Restarting one or both of the SONOS components
- Reconnecting one or both of the SONOS components to the Controller App
- Changing the Wireless Channel for the SONOS components
- Resetting the Controller App
- Restarting the Controller App after a forced close
- Restarting the mobile phone
- Restarting the WLAN Router

These are the problems we experience (all within the Controller App):

When the Controller App cannot connect to the Play:5 Player after starting the app (50% of the cases):
- The Controller App says that it cannot find any SONOS components that can play music. When I then try to add the Play:5 component, it doesn’t work. I did never have to add the player, it usually was enough to add the Bridge, then it found the Rooms and Players.

When the Controller app can connect to the Play:5 Player after starting the app (50% of the cases):
- Our Spotify account is often not listed in the list of music sources. Sometimes it is, but mostly not.
- Our Music Library on our NAS cannot be listed. Sometimes it is listed, but mostly not.
- Radio is sometimes working, but often the radio channels cannot be listed.
