Computer needed while indexing NAS?

I have my iTunes music library on a USB hard drive connected to a Time Capsule. After I click "Update Music Library Now", is there any need to have my computer connected?

I'm guessing that the indexing happens between the Bridge, Time Capsule, and hard drive, so shutting down my laptop has no effect, right? But indexing takes a long time, so I was just wondering...
