Hello, I have asked the dealer in Norway and they said it's not doable to use the Sonos to convert to wireless rear speakers.
Eg. I got the answer that the SOnos needs the playbar to use surround, but I have since thought about this. I have an Onky 717 already and I am thikning that I can use the PRE out for rear channels, connect to a Sonos Connect and then use a Sonos AMP for rear speakers?
I know it will be an expensive "conversion" for wireless rear speakers, so maybe a wireless rear amp is a more viable sollution.
Yet it is possible, right? I'll then use the phono out (pre out) from my Onkyo 717 amp and use the AMP for the front + center channels.
If the playbar was availible in white (or light grey/silver) I could have used it. But I cant see that fitting a black playbar below my silver, thin framed Samsung TV will look nice in any way.
PS. I know people will ask me why I cant just use wires, but the ceiling is concrete. Also the place I wish to hang my TV, is an island between the livingroom and the kitchen.
The apartment is from 2006, so it's minimalism (eg. nothing to hide the wires behind). There are also no tubes to stretch wires is :(
If this is not viable, I'm also considering a JBL wireless amp I found. Btw. my amp has calibration mic with phase, distance, etc, so I think it will make up for the small lag (it will just think the distance is larger I think?).
