Sonos makes terrible use of album art on the iPad.
* Why is the art so tiny? Most of the screen real estate is blank. I've got over 1,000 CD's and I search visually by the album cover, not by name. Larger art would be better.
* Why not put the art in a grid? Why only a single column? Much easier for visual searching.
* After selecting a genre, it should display albums (as art), not artists. If I knew the artist name, I would search by artist. When I look at a genre, I want to see a list of album art for that genre so I can select. The absolute worst aspect of this occurs if your classical compilation album has different artists for each track. You select your "classical" genre which then presents a list of artists ... and when you select an artist it looks as if you can select an album, but when you click the album, you only get the single track of that album that had this artist!! This is very poor.
I've used Squeezebox via iPeng and AppleTV via Remote and they both have far superior user interfaces for the controller. If their hardware were less flaky, I would not have bothered with Sonos. Sonos operation is much smoother, but it's sad that the controller is so poor by comparison.
